We’re giving total sales where category is equal to rents or software,  that was in your statement.

Let’s take a look at utilizing an and statement inside of our criteria.

I want to add another bit of criteria in here but not for the category call them.

Totally just an option not required, Really the only thing as required is that that text right there matches the text inside the list.

We want to drop in Division I might say, give me north, this is an and statement I want to get.

Excel DSUM Function with AND Criteria 1

Total sales where category equals “Rent” and division equals “North”, where do those two things are true then sum it up.

I’m click on cell J3, I’m going to go hit the little fx button and let’s just change our criteria.

Instead of i2 to i3 we’re going to do H2 to i3. I mean it’s going to change that from an i to reference to an H to reference, then hit OK.

Excel DSUM Function with AND Criteria 2

And we’ve now got our total where division equals “North” and category equals “Rent”.
