Let us take a closer look at the Excel workbook and really what makes up the Excel workbook interface.
Excel workbook or the workbook type is your main excel file, that is where you are going to be working in.
In the Excel workbook but you have got what is called a worksheet.
Default when you create a new workbook you have a worksheet called Sheet1.
There is a little Plus sign right next door to that, you can add additional sheets to the Workbook itself.
The Excel workbooks is the main excel file and within there, you can have multiple worksheets.
Within the Sheet we have got the Grid, this is just kind of the basics up of the structure of an Excel workbook. This Grid is made up of columns got all your headers there along the top and rows down the left side. So currently looking at Sheet1, I am currently inside of a Cell.
In the above picture, I am currently having D6 selected. We can also see this up inside the name box top of your screen top left corner of your screen.
You click into a cell someplace inside this worksheet and it will tell me where You are currently at.
Your data is contained in columns and rows. You can reference that data by the column header and row header, you can have multiple sheets inside of a workbook (250 Sheets). That is a lot of worksheets but you can have loads maybe you are going to do a worksheet for each week of the year or maybe monthly data.
